This Hollywood, California native has been acting all of her life. Josie Davis began her career at the age of 3, starring in numerous television commercials. She was cast as a series regular on the hit television show Charles in Charge (1984) (Davis played the adorable, intelligent poet "Sarah Powell" opposite heartthrob 斯克特·拜奥). The show was rated number-one in syndication.

After wrapping "Charles in Charge", the straight-A student graduated from high school and battled the image that she created playing the quiet, sweet, bookish, little girl. Although she had the option of entering USC's prestigious writing program, Davis decided to continue acting and to shed the "Sarah Powell" image. At the age of 24, Davis auditioned for Hollywood heavyweights, 谢利·温特斯, 马克·雷戴尔 and 马丁·兰道. Davis was accepted as a member to The Actor's Studio after only two auditions.

Davis graduated to adult roles and quickly landed a role as a series regular on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), playing the part of sexy, "Camille Desmond", which she starred in through the end of the series. The following season, Davis was cast as a series regular on the 艾伦·斯班林 show, Titans (2000).

Davis took a brief reprieve from television and was immediately cast in six films. After searching endlessly for the perfect actress, 尼古拉斯·凯奇 cast Davis in his directorial debut, 宝贝 (2002). Davis was cast opposite 詹姆斯·弗兰科 in a star-studded cast that included 布兰达·布莱斯, 哈利·戴恩 and 斯科特·凯恩.

Davis returned to television and landed parts in highly-rated television films like Psychic Murders (2002), alongside 亨利·罗林斯 and 詹姆斯·拉索. She followed that success with notable turns in the critically-acclaimed dramas Philly (2001) with 金·德莱尼, The Division (2001), CSI: Miami (2002) alongside 大卫·卡罗素 and Blind Injustice (2005), to name just a few.

Davis was also cast opposite 詹妮弗·洛芙 and 艾德·奥尼尔 in a pilot for ABC called In the Game (2004). Davis continued to explore her comedic side playing Carol Cavanaugh in the film Kalamazoo? (2006) co-starring 克莱尔·布鲁姆, 蕾妮·泰勒 and 奇塔·里维拉. She also completed filming the motion picture In the Land of Merry Misfits (2007), produced by 玛丽娅·曼努诺斯, narrated by 约翰·沃特斯. The film was accepted into 2007's "Tribeca Film Festival".

查克·罗瑞 cast Josie saying, "I couldn't imagine anyone else in this role" for a very memorable guest-star in the 2005 Christmas episode of the CBS hit, Two and a Half Men (2003). US Weekly chose this episode as a "Must See".

Next for this talented actress were starring roles in the films Tranced (2010) directed by 沙地传奇 (1993) and 海阔天空 (1992) director, 大卫; 浪漫的烦恼 (2007), 保罗·哈吉斯 had a hand in the writing of this film, co-starring 琦普·帕杜; Carolina Moon (2007) alongside 克莱尔·弗兰妮 and 奥利弗·赫斯顿; and McBride: Requiem (2006) with 约翰·拉罗凯特.

Davis was the lead in four independent films back to back; Twilight (2008), a short film opposite respected Ellen Geer, the comedy Chasing Tchaikovsky (2007) with 安·麦格纽森, the horror film The Cursed (2010) opposite 科斯塔斯·曼迪勒 and, finally, she played the perfect assistant to 克里斯·波特 in longtime producer Pierre David's film, The Perfect Assistant (2008).

Josie recently worked opposite 大卫·斯佩德 on Rules of Engagement (2007) as well as opposite 小克利夫顿·克林斯 in the NBC show Fear Itself (2008), directed by Freddy vs. Jason (2003) director 于仁泰. She then shot a comedy pilot produced by J·J·艾布拉姆斯 film 再领风骚 (1999)' writer/producer, Tony Guma.

She has guest starred on Burn Notice (2007), Bones (2005), 超市特工 (2007) as well as a recurring role on CSI: NY (2004) opposite 斯基特·乌尔里奇.

Josie joined James Franco, also doing a recurring role, on the English speaking novella, Hollywood Heights (2012), opposite 情侣撤退 (2009)'s 卡洛斯·庞丝. She is the female lead in Hallmarks Channel's Notes from Dad (2013), one of their anticipated movies, directed by ER's 埃里克·拉萨尔, opposite 艾迪·斯比安.

In addition to a busy acting career, Davis produced the award-winning comedy short film, Lotto (2003), starring herself, as well as producing music videos and writing a screenplay. Josie is involved in many charities, especially volunteer work at animal and shelters and mobile adoptions.

Was made a lifetime member of The Actors Studio after only two auditions for 马克·雷戴尔, 马丁·兰道 and the late 谢利·温特斯 at only 24 years of age. She was one of only two members that were accepted that year.

Josie is a huge animal lover and volunteers at The South LA Shelter in Compton, California, where she adopted her two cats, Snow and Gia.

In 2017, she won the Lifetime Movie Achievement Award from the LMNies.
