Her grandfather is American, and she was born and raised in Singapore by the age of 12.
Is engaged to actor Jo Odagiri.
She has been said to have exactly the same dimensions for her right and left side of the face which led to a German doctor wanting to use her face as a specimen for research uses.
Grandfather was an American reporter and due to this reason, her looks have that exotic feel.
Her appearance in the Ponds CM in 2002 was what led to her debut as an actress.
Moved to Singapore during her primary school days due to her father's work. She returned to Japan when she was in the first year of junior high and began working as a model.
