琳达·伊蒙

Linda Emond works in film, television and theatre, across genres, in roles that are often transformational. She was born in New Jersey but grew up in Southern California. She attended Loara High School (where she was Homecoming Queen) and received her MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her first professional job as an actor was at The Empty Space Theatre in Seattle. She went on to work extensively in Chicago and ultimately in New York City. She has been regularly recognized in theatre, including earning three Tony Award nominations and receiving both the Lucille Lortel Award and an Obie.

For her work as "The Homebody" in 托尼·库什纳's "Homebody/Kabul" at NYTW, the Mark Taper Forum, and at BAM, she received an Obie Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, and nominations for Drama Desk, LA Drama Critics, and LA Ovation Awards. (2002-2004).

For her work in Chicago, she was nominated 5 times for Joseph Jefferson Awards, winning it twice for her work in "Pygmalion" and "The Winter's Tale".

For her work on Broadway in "Life x 3", she was nominated for a Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Play and won the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play. (2003)

She was nominated for a 1987 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Supporting Role in a Play for "Tartuffe" at the Court Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

She was awarded the 1989 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for "Pygmalion" at the Court Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

She was awarded the 1990 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Supporting Role in a Play for "The Winter's Tale" at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

She was nominated for a 1991 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for "The Secret Rapture" at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, Illinois.

She was nominated for a 1991 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for "The Caucasian Chalk Circle" at the Court Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

Appears in a Broadway production of 1776 as Abigail Adams. [August 1997]

She has appeared on Law & Order, and all three of its spin-offs: Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit, and Trial by Jury.

In three out of her four recurring Law & Order series roles, she plays either a psychologist or psychiatrist, but unlike other supporting actors, her characters do not have cross-over appearances in the franchise.

In each of her first two Broadway appearances, she played the love interest of characters played by Brent Spiner. The first was in a musical (1776) and the second was in a non-musical play (Life x 3).

She has been nominated for Broadway Tony awards three separate times in 10 years, for both straight plays and musicals (Life x 3, Death of a Salesman, and Cabaret).

Her father was of half French-Canadian and half Polish descent. Her mother has German and English ancestry, with Colonial American roots.
